Extended TDP in Had Yai
As part of the Teacher Development Program (TDP) conducted by the Office of Vocational Education Commission (OVEC), Ministry of Education and the Center of Professional Assessment (Thailand), TDP participants at Hat Yai Technical College launched their own Extended Teacher Development Program (ETDP).
During May 29-31, 2009 English teachers from vocational colleges under OVEC/MoE in the southern part of Thailand were invited to join the ETDP program in Hat Yai. The ETDP in Hat Yai is being conducted in compliance with the goals of the TDP project and as part of the program project approved by the Office of Vocational Education Commission (OVEC), Ministry of Education.

Over 50 teachers participated in the training which was designed to disseminate information about the growing importance of the English language in vocational education and adopting Assessment-Based English Language Learning or ABELL in their teaching programs.
