Public (Monthly) TOEIC^® Speaking & Writing Program

Test Administration Policies & Procedures

The Center for Professional Assessment (Thailand) administers both Institutional and Public/Monthly TOEIC Speaking & Writing testing programs. The information in this document applies to the Public (Monthly) TOEIC^® Speaking & Writing testing program.

The TOEIC® Speaking & Writing Public (Monthly) tests are conducted for individual test takers who are not affiliated with a specific organization. Test takers who are testing for a specific organization should check with their organization to determine available test dates and times.

Background Information

The original Test of English for International Communication® (TOEIC^®) Listening & Reading test has been a valuable asset in helping companies around the world to make decisions regarding hiring, job assignments, promotion, placement in English-language training programs, and monitoring progress in those programs.

Why was a new test developed?

The TOEIC^® Speaking and Writing Tests have been added to the TOEIC^® English-language family of tests. They complement the TOEIC® Listening and Reading Test for a full assessment of a person's ability to communicate in English across all four language skills.

Public (Monthly) TOEIC® Program

When and Where?

The Center for Professional Assessment (Thailand) currently organizes Public (Monthly) TOEIC^® Speaking & Writing test administrations ONLY in Bangkok. Additional test locations may be added as the needs arise. The TOEIC^® Speaking & Writing Tests are administered together. A test taker is required to sit for both tests before a test can be scored.

The Public (Monthly) TOEIC^® Speaking & Writing test administrations will be conducted on a once-a-month basis. The test dates and times are fixed. All test administrations have been set for Saturdays. Test dates and times for the Public (Monthly) TOEIC^® Speaking & Writing 2012 program are as follows:

Test takers may apply for a 9:00AM or a 1:00PM test administration on the available test date. As seating is limited we apologize if the test date and/or test time you request is not available.

As seats are limited test takers interested in participating in a future Public (Monthly) TOEIC^® Speaking & Writing test administration are recommended register in advance for any of the test dates scheduled.

How?

All examinees testing in a Public (Monthly) test administration are encouraged to make a test reservation at least two weeks in advance of the test date to guarantee a seat. Reservations for examinees are currently accepted by telephone during regular operating hours, Monday through Saturday, between the hours of 8:00am until 4:30pm; or through our online reservation system at …

Reservations are NOT CONFIRMED until payment has been received. Reservations that are made and for which no payment is received within 10 calendar days will be automatically canceled without notification.

Payment can be made in person at the CPA (Thailand) offices in Bangkok and Chiangmai; or by bank transfer directly to the CPA (Thailand) accounts listed in our online test reservation system (all bank fees are the responsibility of the examinee). No deductions from the full fee may be taken for any service charges.

When making the reservation an examinee should be prepared to provide the following information:

Rescheduling and Cancellation

Test takers may change or cancel their reservations up to one week prior to the Test Date. A processing fee of Baht 1,000.00 will be charged for any cancellation within that time limit.

Any test taker who has NOT pre-paid their test fee and who cancels or changes their test date less than one week prior to the test date, or fails to appear for a test without canceling within that time limit will have an additional Baht 1,000.00 added to the fee for their next test.

Any test taker who has pre-paid their test fee and who cancels or changes their test date less than one week prior to the test date, or fails to appear for a test without canceling within that time limit will not have their test fee refunded

Test results can be picked up at the Center for Professional Assessment (Thailand) offices in Bangkok and Chiangmai ten (10) working days after the test. Scores may be picked up between 10:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Saturday.

Score Reports for each examinee are sealed in individual envelopes. On picking up the scores, examinees must submit their original TOEIC^® Speaking & Writing test registration form along with their National Identification card. If an examinee designates someone else to pick the score up on their behalf, in addition to the examinee’s original TOEIC registration form and National Identification card, the designated person must also bring their own original National photo identification card.

Examinees may request to have their TOEIC^® Score reports sent by EMS postal service by notifying test center staff when they leave the test room. All scores are sent only by EMS postal service at a cost of Baht 100.00 per envelope.

Score Reports are maintained at CPA (Thailand) for a period of 90 days after the original test date. After the 90-day period all scores reports are treated as Reprint Requests.

TOEIC® Score Result Formats for Individuals

The base fee of each individual Public (Monthly) TOEIC^® Speaking & Writing test includes one (1) copy of the following result reports...

Individual Examinee Score Reports with information designed to provide a more detailed explanation of the numerical score - provided in individual sealed envelopes

Individuals requiring official copies of the Score Reports may complete a request form at the Center for Professional Assessment (Thailand). The processing fee is Baht 250.00 per Score Report. Official TOEIC^® Score Reprints may be picked up two (2) working days after the request. Score Reprint requests are not accepted over the telephone, by fax, or through e-mail.

Information Materials

Additional information on the TOEIC^® Speaking & Writing test can be obtained from the Center for Professional Assessment (Thailand) offices in both Bangkok and Chiangmai. Materials such as brochures and handouts are available from the Centers.

The Center for Professional Assessment (Thailand) also provides the TOEIC^® Speaking & Writing test Examinee Handbook to all examinees. The handbook is designed to provide examinees with information on the test format, including question formats, and provides some sample practice questions.
