INTRODUCTION An airline pilot is well recognized as one of the world’s most prestigious occupations. And the reputation of a Thai Airways International (TG) pilot is second to none. To uphold that reputation as well as to maintain the high standard of safety, a recruitment team of diverse backgrounds and qualifications is involved in selecting eligible candidates to fill in the vacancies that arise from time to time. The pilot recruitment process is divided into two categories, student pilot and qualified pilot, each of which requires the following qualifications and requirements.
Category 1: STUDENT PILOT
Qualifications
m Thai national, male, age not over 30 years (date of birth from 1 October, 1980 onwards)
m Exempt from military service
m University graduate with a bachelor's degree
m Good command of spoken and written English
m Excellent health and good eyesight
m Minimum height 165 cms
m Free of criminal record and never been arrested for drunk-driving.
Applicants are to follow the below instructions:
1. Application is to be made via internet ONLY
2. Individually-assigned appointment date to submit the completed application to the recruitment staff will be advised.
3. ORIGINAL documents, and one copy of each document, to attach the completed application are:
m Two colored one inch photos (taken within three months prior to the application date)
m Identity Card or Government Employee Card
m House Registration Certificate
m Document of exemption from military service
m Transcript and Degree
m A non-refundable application fee of THB. 1,000.- is required upon submitting the completed application to the recruitment staff.
m Certified Score Report of TOEIC or TOEFL or IELTS. (optional) Validity must be within the e-application period.
4. Place and time to submit the completed application:

m EXCEPT weekends and public holidays
5. Each applicant will be given an applicant's ID to carry throughout the recruitment process.
Category 2 - QUALIFIED PILOT
Qualifications
m Thai national, male, age not over 42 years (date of birth from 1 October, 1968 onwards)
m Exempt from military service
m University graduate with a bachelor’s degree
m Good command of written and spoken English
m Graduate of a flying school recognized by Thai Airways International Plc.
m Holding a Thai Commercial Pilot License
m Currently flying fixed-wing aircraft only
m Free of criminal record and never been arrested for drunk-driving.
